am Gerald Don Verner, born Aug. 23, 1948 in Lubbock,
Texas. My Parent's are Boyce Truman Verner Born June 4,
1920, Death June 28, 1997 and Doris Norine (Boyd) Verner
Born Feb. 14, 1924 death June 28,1983. They were married
Feb. 28, 1942.
I Graduated from Meadow High School, Meadow, Texas in
1967.
I Lived in Meadow, Texas from birth until 1968. Except
for one year when we moved to Nash, Texas for about six
months and another six months when we lived in Lubbock,
Texas. Then we moved back to Meadow, Texas.
I Moved to Lubbock, Texas in 1968 and then moved to
Amarillo, Texas in 1975.
On Oct. 16, 1976 I married Angelia (Angie) Marie Runyan,
born in Amarillo, Texas on Oct 9, 1952. Her Parent's are
Richard Ray Runyan Born Oct. 17, 1926 death Mar. 22, 1990
and Loretta Jean (Harvanek) Runyan Born Oct. 16, 1927.
They were married June 1, 1949.
Angie Graduated from Alamo Catholic High School in
Amarillo, Texas in 1971.
On Sept. 21, 1978 we were blessed with a daughter
Jennifer Marie Verner. Jennifer Graduated from Tascosa
High School in Amarillo, Texas in 1997.
We thought our family was complete, but on June 13, 1990
we were blessed again when our son David Derrick Verner
(named after his Great Great Great Grandfather David
Derrick Verner) was born. He is a 10TH Grader at Tascosa HighSchool in Amarillo, Texas.
His
is very active in soccer and play 2 years on the
High
Plain Drifter Soccer Club
U-12-13
competitive soccer team a member of
Amarillo
Soccer Assn.
At the age of six he set a goal to someday play for the USA Soccer Team.
David also enjoy Read, Computer and playing with his friends.
